I've learned so many new things while living in the south

I'm watching the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and I realized how true it all was...so here is what southern living has taught me:

It's not a shopping cart, it's a buggy

You can't buy alcohol on Sunday, and only state owned stores can sell distilled liquor...but you can buy guns 24/7 at Wal-mart

Alabama might not have In'n'out but you can frequent the Waffle House or a real drive-up Sonic. And buffets like Po'folks are all the rage.

I swear there are seatbelt laws here, but I can't tell you how many small children I've seen on driver's laps.

You don't have to look out for deer on the road, just armadillos

There are so many different types of camoflauge, it's like denim - goes with everything!

I love country music, but 9 country radio stations is a little overkill

Don't ever eat Chinese food in the south

sweet home alabama

Our BIG move...
Tues Dec 1: The movers finished @ 5:30pm (watching someone else pack your stuff = nerve racking). Drove to Surprise, AZ to stay with Eric&Jodi but never actually saw them, got there well after they went to bed and left while they were at work. Maybe next time!
Wed Dec 2: Planning on staying in El Paso, TX but drove right through...I refused to get out of the car that close to the border (stayed in some little town instead).
Thurs Dec 3: Drove to Fort Worth, TX and stayed with Chris&Shannon. Went out to Mexican food and completely gorged ourselves...Chris & J each finished a pitcher of margaritas - whoa.
Fri Dec 4: Planned on leaving Forth Worth @ 7am to make the 14 hour drive to Alabama. Definitely left after noon and decided to drive until we got tired. Hit a huge blizzard in Louisiana, drove through snow and sleet for a total of 5 hours.
Sat Dec 5: Ended up in Enterprise, AL at 5am. Banged on Mike's door and he greeted us in his undies with a gun - his fault for turning his phone off. Slept for a few hours and then drove to the property manager's to sign our lease. FINALLY got into our new house @ 1:30pm!!!

Now we are just trying to entertain ourselves with no actually stuff. Our household goods should get here in the next 2-3 days...but we finally have internet! I answered to door in my PJ's and bath robe..probably a faux pas in AL - oops.
